The Greendale Originals website was created to promote the history of the Village of Greendale, Wisconsin. It takes its name from the "original" government built homes - the "Greendale Originals."
Greendale has a very unique history both regionally and nationwide, being one of only three Greenbelt Communities built in the USA by the federal government during the depression. Because of this, tourists and area residents visit Greendale throughout the year. Whether they're part of a large tour group or just on their own, people enjoy Greendale for the seasonal open market, festive Village events like Village Days and Hay Days, plus the shops and Greendale restaurants on Broad Street and the Reiman Publications Visitor Center which features Greendale's history and the Norman Rockwell Village Collection.
This web site is owned and operated by Push Button Gadget Inc. and is not affiliated with the fine folks at the Greendale Originals Neighborhood Association (GONA).
